It's Friday!
It is Friday…let’s do something fun!
I recently came across Deliciously Organic, a site chock full of recipes made from organic ingredients. The site’s creator, Carrie Vitt, even provides a shopping list for stocking your pantry with organic essentials.
Since we do not have much going on this weekend (yay!), I felt like it would be a good chance to look through the site and maybe pick a couple of new recipes to make. So, this morning I went over to take a look around and, lo and behold, what was today’s post on? Making your own organic coffee creamer!
Don’t tell anyone but I loooooove that nasty CoffeeMate coffee creamer. Just a little dab in coffee makes it so super yummy. I know it is full of non-natural ingredients (I mean the stuff isn’t even a dairy product) but it is something I really enjoy. So, this weekend I plan to make one of Carrie’s organic coffee creamers – Pumpkin Spice anyone? – and maybe whip up something from her “Dessert” section to go with.
And then there is coffee itself. It is definitely my vice of choice. All the health gurus tout its bad-ness – wrinkles, thin skin, dark circles – and too much does strange things to me for sure. But it is just so satisfying and can be such an event in and of itself. Having the girls over for coffee…meeting for coffee…coffee first thing in the morning.
Well, in this very same post on organic coffee creamer, Carrie recommends an herbal product that she swears tastes exactly like the real deal. It is called Teeccino and has no caffeine. I must try it immediately. I am skeptical. I will let you know what it is like once it arrives. I am going to go and order it now.
Have any favorite organic recipes you’d like to share with the rest of us? Tried Teeccino yourself? Let us know…
