Organic Cosmetics Review -- MADARA Shimmering Moisturizing Lotion

You know how MADARA Flower Dust Shimmering Moisturizing Lotion is on my Holiday Wish List?  And you know how Jessica sent me a bottle of my very own?  And you know how I promised that I would give you all the juicy details?  Well...

I could not wait to try this body lotion after seeing it on The Zoe Report last month.  Shimmer or glow in a body lotion not only adds a little glam, but illuminates the skin, which is always flattering.  Makes pale skin look young and healthy, and tan skin look even better.

Needless to say, this time of year skin needs all the help it can get.  I've been using self tanner to keep things glowing and MADARA Flower Dust Shimmering Moisturizing Lotion really enhances the effect.

Like I told you last week, I have been giving my bod a daily dousing of MADARA Firming Oil for deep hydration.  After allowing a few mintues for the oil to soak in, I apply a layer of the shimmer lotion to my arms and chest where it shows off the sheen.  Can't wait for summer.  This stuff is going to look great on a tan!

MADARA products are certified by ECOCERT and made from natural and organic ingredients without any of the nasties.  You can find MADARA products at Beauty Habit where they are still running their special on MADARA products:  buy $65 or more in MADARA products and receive a free MADARA Hair Care duo.  You can read my review of the MADARA Shampoo and Conditioner here.
So, a couple of days ago I wrote about Seasonal Pick Me Ups.  Did I follow through with a day of self nurturance?  Yes, I did!  Sure, I still worked, and did all the the "home" stuff.  But I made sure I got some exercise and treated myself right.  And, yes, I even cut back to one cup of coffee.  If you can sneak in a little time for yourself (especially this time of year) it is soooo worth it.  Don't know if it will happen today, but there is always tomorrow...

I bought the Cleansing Milk from the Madara store and it irritated my skin. I returned it the next day and they took back the product and said they would give me back my money in two weeks. I'm still waiting. Now I have neither the product to give to someone else or my money. Their products suck. Whatever you do, don't pay cash or you'll never see your money again.

So sorry you had a bad experience. I will contact the good folks at Madara and see if we can help get it worked out for you. If you'd like, you can send me your name privately at liz(at)organicbeautysource(dot)com . Also, if you'd like me to suggest a cleanser for your skin I'd be glad to:)

Madara's range is really special. I have normal/combination skin and I'm using their recommended cleansing cream and floral toner. My skin has really improved. I also use their tinted fluid and I've had so many compliments - it gives me a perfect healthy glow and smells so natural, a bit like a forest does after a good rain shower - memories of your childhood if you grew up in the country! It's the first time ever that I enjoy putting on foundation! In the shower I use their toning shower soap - it's got a delicious subtle smell, and definitely not an artificial one. It smells like mild spices. I can't recommend their products enough, I really can't. And that's coming from someone who is fussy about everything I put on my skin down to the organic clothes I wear, and anything I eat. Referring to the comment above, nothing in life works for everyone. At some point you're likely to have an allergic reaction to something you use or eat. They do have samples though, so please do try before you buy.

I have normal/combined skin and I like MADARA deep moisture fluid for face. However, I should say that toner for normal skin and deep purifying foam for all skin types are too "harsh" for me, they tighten and dries my skin. However, my husband is a real fan of purifying foam (he has oily skin on the forehead). I like also all body creams.

First anonymous person's skin, who used madara's cleansing milk, is probably already dead, by using L'oreal and Maybelline products containing heavy metals - led and arsenic and bunch of other nuclear waste materials.I suggest you stop poisoning yourself before it's too late and try to save what there is to save. By using ecoproducts such as Madara.
