New & Improved Lavera Self Tanner

I love new products.  Love 'em!  And when they are already one of my very favorite products, new and improved, even better.  And you will love this one too.

I have talked here about the fabulous Lavera Self Tanner before.  Better than any self tanner I have tried to this point, natural or otherwise.  And let me tell you, I used to spend a small fortune years back on a certain brand of tanner that starts with an Estee and ends with a Lauder.  This stuff is better.  Truly.  And it's free from anything nasty.

So, what makes it the best?  First off, it produces a super sweet, natural looking tan. Just what you want in a self tanner, right?  Next, it does not streak nor is it at all orange-y.  I am not sure why, but am guessing that the more natural-hue of brown makes this product streak-free.  Last, but definitely not least in my book, is the texture of this tanner.  It is exactly the consistency of body lotion, goes on just like body lotion, is moisturizing just like body lotion, and even smells nice like body lotion.  Such a great product.

Check out the before and after shots of my back below:

Before

After

Yes, Lavera Self Tanner has long been a year 'round staple in my beauty kit.  But guess what?  The new one is even better!  It is the same great tanner, with a new lighter scent and it is designed for both face and body.  So, now a multi-tasker.

Now for the scientific stuff.  What, you may be wondering, could make a chemical-free tanner not only work, but work so well.  Lavera uses a naturally-derived sugar (from plants) that, when it reacts with your outer most layer of skin, causes the skin to turn brown.  Results show in just a few hours and your "tan" sloughs away naturally.  It also contains lots of healthy oils, like Organic Macadamia Nut Oil, to hydrate and protect.

I apply Lavera Self Tanner to freshly cleaned and exfoliated dry skin, and give it about 5 minutes to soak in before dressing.  To maintain color I reapply every 2-3 days.  Since it is non-messy and lotion-y I just use it in place of my usual moisturizer on these day.

Easy, safe, nontoxic, and great looking.  Perfect.

Hey Liz, I like your comment about how nice it smells. I didn't tell my husband that I used the self tanner and he was getting a little frisky with me and commented on how nice I smelled! :) (GG)
