Organic Cosmetics Review -- Naturopathica

I’ve tried another organic skincare line…Naturopathica. Love the name and the products. Let me share…

Following are reviews of the products I sampled from the line, but believe me they have many, many more. Can’t wait to check ‘em all out. The main thing I noticed about all of the products I sampled from this line – how light and fresh the texture. Each product feels so heavenly soft and airy on the skin, without being at all harsh or drying. So, I feel that is the perfect short description for the line…Light and Fresh:

Aloe Cleansing Gel

As you probably guessed, this is a gel cleanser. Not exactly foaming, this one is very gentle and leaves skin clean without feeling like you’ve used something harsh. Great for summer.

Vitamin C Revitalizing Complex

This anti-aing complex is categorized as a moisturizer, but I definitely have to use a heavier moisturizer over it. Goes on smooth and soaks straight into skin, leaving behind a satiny soft and refined surface. Sublime feel and smells very fresh too.

Sweet Lupine Cleansing Cream

Even though this is a cream cleanser, it is much lighter than most. A nice airy cleanser that removes dirt and impurities, leaves skin freshly clean and soft without feeling dry nor too oily. Also perfect for removing makeup.

Seaweed Recovery Mask

Ok, this one reminds so much of the old St. Ives blue clay mask from back in the day. I used to love slathering that cooling creamy substance onto my skin. Naturopathica’s version does the job better, and without the nasty ingredients I am sure the St. Ives contains, if it is still around. Very cooling and leaves skin silky smooth and lightly hydrated. Not at all oily or greasy, this mask is the perfect pick-me-up for tired skin or when in need of pampering/soothing.

Bourbon Vanilla Body Lotion

This, ok I’ll say it, light and fresh body lotion soaks right into skin and carries a warm fruity scent. Yummy!

The cool, dark blue, apothecary style containers look good in the bathroom (always a plus) and the brand really stays true to the meaning of natural cosmetics. Using carefully selected ingredients, organic where possible, all ECOCERT certified natural.
