Angelina Jolie Natural Vanity Fair Look

Angelina Jolie graces this month’s cover of Vanity Fair. Love Angelina…but what I am loving most about this cover is her makeup. Soft and simple. Lovely!

This natural look came by way of Chantecaille makeup, and though Chantecaille claims their products are “natural”, lack of ingredient listings makes me skeptical. All I could find on their site (or anywhere else) was that their products contain Vitamins and are not tested on animals. Those things are good, but to be on the safe side let’s re-create the look with products we know are natural – Lavera Organic Cosmetics.

After applying your favorite foundation and/or powder apply Lavera Beautiful Mineral Eyeshadow in Golden Beige #2 to entire lid. I like to dust a thin line of this under lower lash line too. Next smudge Chocolate Brown #8 just above crease and blend with brush or finger tip.

Line upper and lower lash lines with Soft Eyeliner pencil in Brown and smudge with finger. Add a layer or two of Volume Mascara in Black.

For cheeks, dust Fresh Mineral Powder Rouge in Shimmering Apricot Light #2 onto apples of cheeks, up and outward. Just the right warm pinky hue.

Now to complete the look add Rosy Promise Lip Gloss to lips. This is my absolute favorite shade of lip gloss, almost nude with a slightly rose glint. Goes with everything and looks good on all skin tones. If you prefer lipstick over gloss, try Beautiful Lips Lipstick in Golden Kiss #7.

If I found out more about Chantecaille’s ingredients list I will let you know. For now, Lavera is a safe, high-quality and much more affordable alternative.
